People who are engaged, married or in de facto relation with an Australian Citizen or Permanent Residence can be eligible for a partner visa. Applicant can apply for a partner visa both Onshore and Offshore.
- Onshore Partner Visa (Subclass 820/801): Subclass 820 is a temporary visa granted initially to the people who are partner or spouse of an Australian citizen or Permanent Residence or an eligible New Zealand Citizen and already in Australia and have applied for the Permanent Partner Visa subclass 801.
- Offshore Partner Visa (Subclass 309/100): Subclass 309 is a temporary partner visa which can only be applied offshore. Applicant has to apply both Subclass 309 and 100 (Permanent) visas at the same time while offshore. However, applicant can be out of Australia or onshore at the grant of Subclass 100 visa if approved.
- Prospective Marriage Visa (Subclass 300): This visa is for the people who want to travel to Australia to marry their fiancé. The visa applicant must have met and known their prospective spouse and at least 18 years old.
- New Zealand Citizen Family Relationship (Temporary) Visa (Subclass 461): This is a temporary visa which allows the non-New Zealand family member of a New Zealand citizen to live and work in Australia for up to 5 years.
